There are a variety of classes that take place on a weekly basis in Holy Cross. This page provides a brief description of what each of the opportunities are like so that you may have information to make a choice of which areas you may want to pursue. The class times run from 9:15 - 10:15 AM. We invite you to grow in God's Word with us!
This is more what might be called the "traditional" kind of class. It is lead by Pastor Jahnke every Sunday morning. It varies in character from more of a lecture focus to that of dialog discussion. This depends upon the topic of study and varies from time to time. There have been topics of interest to Christians (Study of Angels, The Theological Perspective of Human Sexuality, Comparative Religions) and the study of a Book of the Bible.
These classes focus on various topics from an indepth study of the Old Testament or the New Testament or the study of each different book of the Bible. These studies are led by various members of the congregation. There are also some Marriage classes that have been offered in the past and can be started again with interest. These are led by members of the congregation. Topics have ranged from Managing Pressure in your Marriage, Mastering Money in your Marriage, Resolving Conflict in your Marriage, Building your Marriage, Building your Mate's Self-Esteem, Building Teamwork in your Marriage and Building Your Marriage. These topics are guided by the Scripture. The format is dialog participation. Participants in the class are those currently married (some newly married, others for longer time), some who were divorced and, some single persons who want to prepare for marriage. If you would like to take one of these classes we can get a class started back up or you can attend one of the classes currently going. You can start at any time.
We presently do not have any classes taking place during the week, but are always open to starting some if there are enough people showing interest in starting one. If you would like to participate in one please contact the church office and we will see about getting one started.
