First of all, thank you for visiting our page. Permit me a moment to share what we hope you will find. We hope that this page gives you an idea of what goes on behind the doors of Holy Cross Lutheran Church (which many know locally as the pointed looking church) located at Third and Soule in Dodge City, Kansas. We have tried to maintain a balance between using this electronic media to proclaim the Word of God and describing our ongoing ministry activity. We invite you to worship with us and look foward to growing together in God's grace.

Secondly, permit me to anwer the question of how one becomes a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. There are two types of membership that we recognize: Baptized and Confirmed. Baptized membership can be obtained by those baptized at Holy Cross or who upon consultation with the Pastor are guided to become Baptized members first with the goal of completing an Adult Instruction Class (approximately 4 months in length) and thereby becoming Confirmed members of the congregation. If you are already a Lutheran who holds membership in another member congregation of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, you may upon consultation with the Pastor request transfer of your membership to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

We invite you to consider visiting this site regularly. We hope to be adding information on a regular basis of upcoming events. Likewise, Pastor Jahnke will be posting his Sunday sermon message each week. Future goals include the posting of Bible studies to be used while on-line or printed to use in your homes.
